100 WORDS AND A QUILL

1

The ‘100 words stories’ project is now on exhibit at Pop Art Gallery in Florence, Piazza Santo Spirito for the entire month of December. Six photos, together with six ‘ 100-word stories’ were carefully selected to be displayed in one of the cafes close to my heart.

Gathering my old experimental photos and putting them together with my words felt so right it scared me. It seemed that those moments of playing with the camera ten years ago, arranging the quill and the paper to be in focus, were anticipation for the words that were to be written ten years later.

To see the finished product on the walls, people reading, nodding in appreciation or smiling, asking to know more was a beautiful moment, one that reminded me why my fingers can never stop dancing when my thoughts conceive words, sentences, paragraphs, plots, and stories, without which I wouldn’t be me.
