Cheese, strawberries and red wine

C

Florence revealed a new taste to me today. My taste buds have been invaded by flavored cheese, strawberries and red wine. I always carry the phrase You could never have enough cheese in my pocket, not because I love cheese, but because every person I know, living in Florence is obsessed with it; so, I occasionally have the polite tasting and smiles that are in order. But today something totally different happened. I conducted the most amazing interview and although I never talk about my interviews in separate posts, these people are one of the reasons I started The human behind the artists project, so I think I am safe to talk about them separately.

I arrived at this beautiful studio, somewhere downtown in Florence, and of course cheese was placed on the table just waiting there to be tasted with no fault of its own. The thing that struck me were the strawberries next to the cheese, and I may appear ignorant, but I have no idea what I am talking about when it comes to dairy and combinations of food.

As we started the interview and had my first taste of the combination, my brain started screaming Your stomach needs more of this! I need more of this! I had these two amazing artists in front of me talking about their amazing life and every now and then I would put the plate down deciding I had enough. But I just couldn’t focus if I didn’t have the evil strawberry with her pall the piece of cheese, on my plate again. So guys, thank you for the experience and for every dairy intolerant person out there, I am sorry for this post and maybe it was just my imagination, or better yet the wine.
