Day 115 – Storytelling Workshop

D

The last couple of weeks I have been working hard to create, organize and develop an English storytelling workshop and finally I can share with all of you the presentation of it. The workshop is designed for children and it’s an invitation for them to have an hour of fun while using their vivid imagination.

Let's invent stories together! As I say on the flyer, everything has its own story, from a puppet or a train, to a tree or the wind blowing its leaves. I want to bring those stories to life with the help of children, allowing to discover them all, expanding their imagination by inventing new ones and becoming amazing storytellers. Stories inspire children to look inward, explore their emotions, understand them and share with others what it is like to feel what they feel and I have witnessed that if we encourage them to invent their own, we can understand and communicate with them better.

Unlike other workshops or courses organized for kids, I will use very few materials; all the materials we need are some good books and our own imagination. I want to be able to bring a leaf to class and create together the most beautiful story ever heard and believe me when it comes to children the possibilities are infinite. After many years of developing theater workshops for children I have noticed that they are always craving for more and more captivating stories, so I have created this workshop in order to give them a chance to invent their own allowing them to interact and improvise through the craft of storytelling. So, take a look, and if you feel the way I feel, help me help them grow wings.
