Day 144 – A thousand words and an image

D

They say a photo is worth a thousand words. They say a book can be a bandage to the soul and they also say that true art never dies. Who are they?

I hate imposed limitations and I believe that if you want something you must break the rules that were forged by a society who doesn’t know what it’s doing to the world. I believe the rules were made so that potential Nobel winners, for example, will come and break them all, creating something amazing and unseen before. Although contradictory,I don’t believe in the prizes mankind created either; they only create a soft mirror of the poor soul who sold himself to his personal devil. There are some secrets everyone can apply and stay unstained and safe from all the filth they throw at you, but does anyone tell you what they are? Of course they don’t; and also the whole system was created so that you cannot avoid it and although you complain and maybe try to fight it, there comes a time when they fool you into loving it.

But this wasn’t suppose to be about the system nor about society and its rules, it was supposed to be about words, words that create images and images that create thoughts. Words that guide you through your next fall and images that pull you back up. Words that will create a knot in your throat and images that will release that knot and transform it into tears. I am always going to be fascinated with the words born behind an image, but most of all I am intrigued by the human nature who is willing to give up almost anything to create images through words and words through images.
