I was saying a while back, that I have started this new collaboration with the F.E.S.T.A. theater (Florence English Speaking Theatrical Artists), helping them with their theater workshops and rehearsals.
This year, F.E.S.T.AKids is putting together a full length production of Dickens Oliver Twist, which will be performed at Teatro Goldoni in early spring, next year. Shaun, the Artistic Director and co-founder of FESTA, is an amazing director and performer who has a natural skill for teaching and shaping children’s personalities using classic literature. I have spent the last six Saturday afternoons, participating at their rehearsals and working with them on the script and I can honestly say that the children involved in this project are awesome and they have the talent and positive energy to support their hard work.
We are still looking for more children with ages between six and nineteen to join us on this journey and you can find all the necessary details of the workshop and of the final performance by clicking here.The rehearsals are being held in the beautiful old stables of Palazzo Corsini every Saturday from 2 pm until 6 pm and I will be there holding the script in one hand and the yellow marker in the other. So, spread the word and let’s play with Oliver Twist and his gang, giving them life and letting them use our voices, so they can speak out to the audience. See on Saturday!
