Day 225 – Productive day

D

I wish I could be a morning person. When you wake up early in the morning to work on all your deadlines, the day seems to be longer and you actually feel like you have done a lot (maybe because you dis, doh).

So, this morning I woke up and tried to be a morning person. I turned on my computer at 8 am, erased the fog from my eyes and started working. I must admit the first ten minutes were torture, but I heroically resisted the impulse of crawling back into bed and went on typing and trying to think straight. By this time I have already managed to meet one deadline (ten more to go, yayyyy), went for a morning walk with my daughter, did some chores, played pretend games with Ephia and started working on a new article after putting her for a nap. If that’s not productive I don’t know what is. I am so enthusiastic to have a pain free day, a normal day, a day filled only with things I love to do.

In the light of all those new things and giving that my deadlines are screaming at me, not to mention Christmas is knocking on our doors and I have yet to decorate our Christmas tree, I will go on and continue my productive day while it lasts. Just one question for all the morning people out there: after such a day, are you able to stay up and work half the night to, or is it that you have to go to sleep early and start fresh in the morning again? Just asking, hoping that maybe I can push my luck a little. 🙂
