Day 253 – Busy little bee

D

My daily book was winking at me this morning. It had so much stuff to tell me as soon as I opened it. It said, with an ironic smile, that my week looks a little to full and I should cut something out. Said and done. Two phone calls later I had managed to fill the pages a little more, so I guess this week will be at least challenging. They say you are healthiest when you are happy and busy. Someone should tell that to my body because most of the time I am both.

Anyway, it’s Monday and Monday means writers, reading, new ideas, and when I am lucky I even get to take home a drop of inspiration that lands on my lap while listening to them speak. Sometimes I can’t even believe that it’s been more than an year since I had first showed up to the very first meeting of the group. My feet were trembling, my insides were shaking, but my voice and posture were trained not to betray any of that. I remember after meeting them all and listening to everyone’s piece, I went home and described every little detail about every one of them. I remember who I liked instantly, who I hated, who I thought I am going to become friends with (sorry guys, I love you all now!!!!!). But still, although we lost some of our dear members last year, and welcomed another crazy, inspiring one, and although sometimes it looked like things were going to fall apart, the group hasn’t lost its original vibe, power and strong personality.

So, it’s Monday. With the computer, ears and mouth ready, I am packing up my gear and leave to meet my fellow writers. Be prepared guys, I am not coming empty handed tonight. 🙂
