After a whole week of running around, I decided to skip all the usual Sunday routine and plan something more fun for the three of us to do. So, when the cocka-doodle-doo sang from the other room, I jumped out of bed and brought her into our room for morning cuddles. Ephia usually doesn’t like any changes that get in the way of her routine, but who doesn’t love morning cuddles in the huge parents’ bed.
We stayed around the house, made some drawings on the kitchen floor and had a nice lunch together. Then the preparations for going out began. We were invited to our friend, Lee‘s house for a party and because him and Ephia haven’t seen each other for a while, she skipped her nap and came to party with us. We had a lot of fun, ate amazing cinnamon muffins, and by the smile on Ephia’s face she was thankful for bringing her. As if that wasn’t fun enough, we went to have a nice cappuccino out with a friend and walked around for a while. We talked about old times, took turns to play tag with Ephia, watched her trying to climb a pillar while repeating over and over again: “Up! Down! Up! Down!”. It was a beautiful evening and not at all cold, or maybe the cold disappeared because of all the walking. Riding the bus home was a challenge, as my daughter understood the fun part of the day is over and felt tired all of a sudden.
By the look on her face tonight, my mission for this Sunday was accomplished. Lots of friends, lots of fun and spending time together. A nice change after all that time apart. These being said, I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday and you will have an amazing beginning of the week. Over and out! .
