Day 308 – Lazy, rainy Sunday

D

When I was little my favorite thing to do on Sunday mornings was to jump into my parents bed and watch cartoons for an hour. I remember being so still and quiet having a huge smile on my face and my father’s arms wrapped around me. This morning I experienced this same thing with me as the mother. Ephia jumped into my arms and we all watched cartoons for an hour, being lazy, having huge smiles on our faces.

Because our lazy hour lasted until midday, I decided to take Ephia for a stroll and visit downtown instead of putting her down for a nap in the afternoon. After 30 minutes in the rain and jumping in all the puddles, we finally arrived and had a lovely evening. Diner, hugs, a few laughs and the day was already over, but the taste of our morning together was still there, was still alive on our faces.

Although we skipped our usual Sunday ritual and we had no coffee, or cake at our favorite pastry shop, I can safely say this day was a success and I wouldn’t mind repeating it. These being said I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday and you are rested and fresh for a new week. Good night!
