Day 348 – Crazy day

D

I spent my entire day reflecting about everything: my life, my choices, my friends, my family, my world. I looked at my daughter chasing bubbles all morning thinking I could look at her playing forever. I watched her hand going into mine when we took the tram home. I felt her kiss coming down my cheek after I gave her a snack. Yes, I could do all this forever.

I came home and looked at the piles of articles to write, waiting for me, grinning at me. And so I worked and I wrote and I read and then I wrote some more until I had nothing left to write. I had a fun evening, I had insightful conversations with the people in my life and then… Then I was left empty, empty of myself, empty of everyone else, empty of words, just like a cleaned out drawer.

Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow I will share my passion and try to form words that will inspire others. Tomorrow I will have to fill in that void and not empty it until the sun sets over Mars. Tomorrow never exists…
